Isidora Grubački: Interwar Yugoslav Feminisms - Continuities and Transformations
What was feminism in Yugoslavia in the interwar period? A still vaguely defined concept, a specific strand of political thought of the time, or a movement which transformed into an antifascist movement? Or was feminism all of this, and even much more? Starting from these questions, the lecture will focus on the political thought of some of the leading Yugoslav feminists and leading women intellectuals in interwar Yugoslavia, including Alojzija Štebi, Angela Vode, Mitra Mitrović, and Milka Žicina. The discussion will address some aspects of the continuities and transformations of interwar feminisms, additionally bringing to light the multiplicity of feminist voices at the time.
The lecture will take place at 19.00 at Participativna ljubljanska avtonomna cona (PLAC). The video of the lecture will be published later on ILS YouTube channel. The event is organized in cooperation with Transform Europe.

Predavanje bo potekalo ob 19:00 v Participativni ljubljanski avtonomni coni (PLAC). Posnetek predavanja bo pozneje objavljen na IDŠjevem YouTube kanalu. Dogodek je organiziran v sodelovanju s Transform Europe.
